First
meeting this year of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Board of Directors
was held on February 1. The discussion referred to the preliminary
results of financial and economic activities of the company
in 2004 and also operation of the first line of polystyrene
production and the work progress of the second line of this
production facility and problems of feedstock provision.
The results of
financial and economic activities have been presented by
Mr. L. Maltsev, deputy general director for production and
Mr. R. Akhmetov, deputy general director for economics.
The largest increase of output at the enterprise was achieved
in production of neonols (by 38.9%), isoprene from isobutane
(12.6%), styrene (11%) and monoethyleneglycol (8.6%) as
compared to 2003.
In 2004 commercial output amounted to 31.6 billion rubles,
i.e. by 4.8% above the level of 2003 in comparable prices.
One of the most
important issues that is under continuous control of the
company management is the transfer of tax payments. In 2004
Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc. transferred 4 billion and 998
million rubles to the budgets of various levels.
Mr. A. Minullin,
director of polystyrene plant, reported that during the
first year after start-up of production plant more than
48 thousand tons of product was manufactured and currently
the foundations for process equipment were made ready on
the second production line, the framework of buildings and
the brickwork of walls are being completed, installation
of process equipment is in progress on certain units. Commissioning
activities at this facility are scheduled for May – June
of this year.
Mr. R. Galiullin,
deputy general director for commerce, reported the problems
of feedstock provision.
The board of directors
approved the activity of the executive management based
on the results of 2004 and acknowledged that the work of
polystyrene plant staff was successful in the field of mastering
of new production grades and that the work progress of the
second production line complies with the schedule. Information
of resolving the problem issues related to the feedstock
provision was taken into account by the board of directors.
