For the first time in 28-year history of the plant 450,133
t of ethylene were produced at the ethylene plant of “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”
INC according to the results of the year 2004.
The highest production became possible thanks to reconstruction
and modernization of the equipment and steady trouble-free
working of the stuff.
We’d like to
remind you that ethylene cracker EP-450 was originally designed
for use as feedstock for straight-run gasoline. Reconstruction
and replacement of obsolescent and physically worn straight-run
gasoline heaters by new high-capacity and high-selective
ones allowed to process any kind of feedstock in them –
from straight-run gasoline to wide fraction of light hydrocarbons.
At present modernization
of ethylene cracker is being continued in order to increase
the capacity of ethylene to 600 t/y. The program is to be
carried out until the year 2010.
