In 2003, the Plant produced 17,000 tons of polystyrene: 8000 tn – GPPS, 9000 tn – HIPS. According to consumers, the quality of NKNK polymer is higher than that of produced in Omsk ( Siberia ) and Sterlitamak (Bashkortastan). The Plant reached the design capacity, and the equipment enables to output over 6 tn/hr of produce. Seven grades of 22 as per the project have been commercialized.

The Plant is currently working on a freon-resistant grade of polystyrene, which is applied to manufacture refrigerators and is in wide demand. Right now, consumers are ready to buy up to 2000 tons of this product monthly. The Plant experts are preparing a novel PS recipe and components are being purchased. Moreover, there are preparations underway to construct a second PS train.
